From the very inception of GDF, Ramakant Ji has watched the journey unfold — the struggles, the small victories, and the unshakable belief that education can transform lives. His faith in the mission of GDF went beyond words, and in 2023, he decided to take a step that would forever change the course of many children’s lives.

With immense generosity, Ramakant Ji donated his bungalow at DA Block that became GDF’s Salt Lake branch. What started as a small and uncertain beginning in August 2023 — with just four children and one volunteer — soon began to bloom into something remarkable.

Within a short span of time, the ripple effect was visible. Parents in the slum community began noticing the growth, the discipline, and the joy in their children. What seemed like a humble start grew rapidly into a centre filled with 100+ students and over 12 dedicated volunteers.

Today, the Salt Lake branch stands as living proof of what happens when generosity meets vision. It is not just a centre; it is a beacon of hope for children who otherwise might have been denied the chance to learn, dream, and grow.
