Shalini Jain ma'am was very apprehensive about the whole affair when she joined GDF's teacher training module in 2022. Having dutifully performed the duties of a homemaker, when her only daughter left Kolkata to pursue higher studies, she was looking to do something meaningful out of her life when she witnessed how homemakers devoted their free time at GDF and she decided to give it a try. Rest is history now as within a year she has experienced all the roles in GDF: trainee, teacher and now Coordinator of the 4th centre of GDF. Not soon had she joined, she proved her mettle as a very responsible and dedicated educator.

She is a sincere and punctual professional who teaches students the value of time. Taking time to check loads of worksheets every day only to ensure the quality of education for the students whom she has not even met is inspiring. Her strong guidance has ensured that even the Online Classes at the remote centre of Sonpatahi where the local teachers need lots of guidance daily, run the classes smoothly and effectively. She is always well-prepared for her online sessions with engaging and interactive lessons.

Her efficiency in handling challenging situations led her to become the Centre Coordinator(CC) of Sonpatahi within a year
