The journey of growth and empowerment continues as the GDF proudly announces the inauguration of its second center at Pramod Nagar. Building on the resounding success of our flagship Ballygunj Centre, we have expanded our horizons to reach the underserved community near the Belghoria Expressway on the outskirts of Kolkata.
The Pramod Nagar Centre stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing quality education to underprivileged children. With a robust strength of 45 students, supported by 6 dedicated teachers and an enthusiastic volunteer, we are set to ignite the flame of knowledge and opportunity in the hearts of many.
The path has not been without its challenges. Pramod Nagar has emerged as one of the most demanding centers for GDF, primarily due to the lack of trust and support from the local community and the neighbourhood's inclination towards immediate aid rather than the long-term benefits of education.
However, undeterred by these obstacles, GDF remains steadfast in its mission at Pramod Nagar. We have initiated a homeopathy clinic and regularly conduct 'Naitik Shiksha' classes to instill moral values and generate awareness. Our efforts extend beyond the classroom as we engage with parents through regular PTMs and ensure the hiring of capable educators, thereby fostering a culture of regular attendance and academic excellence.
